I had read the reviews from other buyers, so I was aware that it might be difficult to install, and it was, but nothing I couldn't handle with a little help. The quality is great. Be sure to get the new mini CFL bulbs if you're going to use them, the standard sized ones are too large and will show over the top of the glass dome.
Overall, we are very, very happy with it.
