Write a Reviewgood lamp for the price

The lamp is very nice to look at and was easy to install. We did decided to caulk around the openings (except top cap to change bulb) to try to prevent rain water from seeping in and rusting out the connection. We are using a 40W tapered conserve-energy bulb, but it is extremely bright through the glass; will be trying another bulb that won't be so glaring.

cheap plastic

The top portion is made of plastic and very cheap. It looks o.k., but would expect metal construction for the price I paid. It is an outdoor item.
